Faculty and staff can now opt into a new Panopto integration with Microsoft Teams, which helps facilitate meeting and lecture recording and brings more flexibility to classrooms.
For faculty, this means lecture recordings can seamlessly integrate into courses in Canvas. For staff, this feature allows you to record important meetings and share them easily with colleagues, enabling convenient review whenever needed. Panopto also allows for editing and embedding videos and setting sharing permissions.
The benefits of this new service aren’t just for teaching. Faculty and staff can record any Teams meetings and easily share with colleagues. With Panopto, editing and embedded videos on websites is possible, as well as setting sharing permissions.
In addition to the integration with Microsoft Teams, Panopto has made several updates to its teaching and learning support, including deeper gradebook integration within Canvas. Instructors can now configure Panopto quizzes for auto-grading and can also track the percentage of video viewed and auto-grade video content. In both cases, Panopto will seamlessly link back to the gradebook.
